Earth Hour - the hour after

Wow! That was fun after shouting from my balcony to the fellows below that it was Earth Hour and they should switch the lights off, blah, blah, blah. My family participated on the event and everyone was cooperative regardless whether they need to submit a report the day after. I guess I made my point by switching the lights off right away after giving them ample time and notice. See my handwritten notice at home:

Well, I don't have any pictures taken during the 1 hour of darkness at home since it would be useless if I use a flash on my cam, right?

The city participated as well on the event with famous iconic buildings like the Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, switching their lights off for an hour to show their support. A Lantern Parade was held as well in the vicinity. Too bad we were cooped at home. Nonetheless, we had a great time. I feel glad to be a part of this event and we will look forward to another Earth Hour event next year and maybe then, we will come in full swing.

To all who made a difference to help abate Global Warming, thanks a lot. I am sure Mother Nature is equally proud.

  2. Thanks Heidi! It's the little things we do that counts and in my own small ways, I want to be able to do something for Mother Nature. Will you be in for the next Earth Hour?
