Beautiful Bed Linens

I love collecting bed linen sets. I like my bed with color coordination and modern patterns. I do not mind purchasing bed linens from lesser known designers as long as the colors and design match my tastes.

It will be a great pleasure, though, to receive bed linens as gifts especially the ones from matouk. The designs of matouk is subdued, simple and yet elegant which is almost classy without being to flamboyant. And I just want my linens to be like that.

So far, my friends have given me bed linens from the UK and US and I love them all. I try not to use them often so the colors do not fade and the linen's shape is still retained. I know I should enjoy my bed linens but I just want to make sure that I do not over use them to prolong their life.

안녕하세요 한국에서

Ok, I got that from translate.google.com and it stands for - Hello from Korea!

Yup, we just got here this afternoon and the weather is so chilly. I am not used to cold weather but I am loving it here so far.

I had my first nose bleeding episode already, probably due to the cold weather. We're all fine, tired and sleepy but excited too.

Tomorrow's agenda is just going around Seoul for sight-seeing. I am not sure about shopping because my budget is really tight. We passed by the night market in Myeongdong a while ago and I am so tempted to buy a "fake" Ugg boots. My daughter and I call the fake Ugg - Urgh! hahahaha, Honestly, I am not one to buy counterfeit items but if you see the fake Ugg, you cannot tell it is fake. I'll ask dear hubby to buy me one...hehehehe.

As for souvenir hunting, it's still early to look for that. I just want to enjoy and bask in this beautiful place.

Clearing Unwanted Stuff

10 years in Dubai and we have already amassed so much! I am clearing so many clothes from my closet, including old shoes and bags. I even cleared my husband's and daughter's closets to sell unused clothes, toys and footwear.

The books are another story. We love books so much so it is very difficult to part ways to some of my collections. I even saw my pregnancy books which I kept for posterity. I browsed through them and relived memories of my motherhood. I read few chapters again on how to product more breast milk, the trimester of pregnancy and how to adjust to a growing belly. I even unearthed old pictures of my bulging belly in one of the books I have kept. Ah, the memories. However, I have to be practical. I won't be needing those books anymore so they will have to go.

The kitchen is also a haven for unnecessary kitchen utensils to sell. I have gadgets which I never used like the egg beater and electronic can opener. The verdict - they will have to go.

If I keep doing this every quarter, our house may end up empty! It's good to do this once in a while. At least I get money back from the things we barely use. I am learning so hard to be more practical and minimalist.

Travelling Light

We have been travelling quite a lot as a family ever since my husband and I joined one of the most prestigious airlines company of the world.

I am really glad for the opportunity to work in the airline industry because we get to travel a lot. And because of that, we have learned the art of packing light and smart!

Tomorrow's our flight to Seoul, Korea and we're not packing a lot of clothes. Just a couple of shirts and thermal wears and a warm jacket or coat to combat the chilly weather. As for the footwear, a sneaker and a warm boots will do. The toiletries are all small, carry-sizes and few undies. It is a short vacation so we can't carry a lot of unwanted stuff. Who knows, we may even carry more when we come back because of the numerous street markets in Seoul!

Cover Up

The tub that is! I am looking for something to protect our bath tub from other elements when not in used. My friend suggested to use hot tub covers. I have seen tub covers from my other friends' bathrooms but never thought that I might need one someday.

Their tub is protected from the water droplets and even from the little critters which are crawling in the bathroom. Although my hot tub is not very big, I think it will be good to have it covered every now and then especially when winter is coming. We will seldom use it because of the harsh weather.

On Mesothelioma

Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer which is very fatal. It is a malignant disease which affects the lining of major internal organs like the stomach, lungs and heart. The lining called mesothelium is a protective membrane which covers the organs. When the lining is affected by exposure to asbestos, the symptoms normally appears after 20 to 50 years.

Symptoms of this malignant disease are one or combination of the following (depending on the affected area, ie. abdomen, lungs or heart):

  • Chest pain
  • Wheezing, severe cough
  • Fatigue
  • Anemia
  • Pleural effusion
  • Blood in the sputum
  • Shortness of breath
  • Abdominal pain
  • Weight loss
  • Mass in the abdomen
  • Jaundice
  • Low blood sugar level
  • Blood clots in veins
  • Blood clots in the arteries of the lungs

Our Future Home

We have already bought our third property out of our hard-earned money here. I am very happy to say that even if our bank accounts are as slim as the slim-fit pants you can find nowadays, we have three properties to be proud of.

Plans for purchasing a fourth property is in the pipeline but this time it will just be a vacant lot where we will build our future home. It has been a dream of mine even when I was still young to build my home according to my own preference. I have collected so many clippings of beautiful homes, bedrooms with white wardrobe, patios and garden photos over the years and have kept them for reference. I am already in the process of gathering photos of furniture I want to have in our future house too.

I love everything cozy, light and white or creamy and earth tones. So, you can sense that the furniture will be of light color. I just like the feel of seeing a pristine atmosphere at home with natural light seeping and clean and crisp-looking furniture to go with the ambiance.

My daughter has been bugging me too about what she likes to have in her own bedroom. Since we already have furniture here in Dubai which we can take home once we are done with our stay here, I have decided we can have painted bedroom furniture for her. It will save us money. Also, the ones we have here in Dubai are expensive and durable. I will have to ship all of them because I know they will look good in our future home considering the theme I want to carry out - light and natural and a bit minimalist too.

I am not rushing on this plan right now because my husband and I have to discuss money matters as well. The recession is still on and we want to make sure that if we go through our plan to buy a residential lot and later on build a house on it, we are financially capable and ready to release money due to the demands of building a home.

It is not a sheer joke to plan for this. However, I do not want this to be just a dream. I may have to work  5 more years at tops to finance this goal. It is not a long shot but with our determination, dream and tight-budgeting skills, our dream home will be ours.

Web Directories

I did not know what web directories were when i started blogging more than 2 years ago. I thought it was another site just like the telephone companies' yellow pages which hold numerous names of websites and their respective URLs. Well, I guessed as much. Web directories are indeed repository of websites in the World Wide Web and sites and their links are further segregated per categories. This makes it easy for the user to search for a specific site based on the topic.

As I got into the blogging scene more intensively, I decided to enlist on several web directories to boost my audience reach and crawl my feeds around the world.

I looked under www.freewebdirectories.org and other safe and friendly web directory sites and checked what they could offer me. Apart from the other online directories I have enlisted before, I am considering to widen my reach and increase my ranking if possible.

How Do You Eat Your Pizza?

I got this from a forwarded mail. It is so nice and informative and I want to share this to all. Credit goes to the author of this article. Great job! (see end credits...)

-Quote

Pizza - How do you eat yours?
A lot can be said about a person by the way they eat pizza

Traditionalists
Pizzas in Italy are served whole, rather than being cut into slices before arriving at the table. As such, Italians tend to eat their national dish with a knife and fork, rather than grabbing at it with their mitts.

So……..

Danglers
These are people who want their pizza and want it now. There’s no time for knives, forks or folding, and no qualms about treating their dining companions to views of the back of their throat – it’s simply a case of tilting back the head and lowering the pizza into
a gaping gob. Chewing is optional.

Folders
Not quite as conservative as the traditionalist, but a little more restrained than the dangler, the folder ensures the toppings stay put by folding the pizza slice lengthways before eating.

Crusties
Crusties are a special breed of people who insist on eating the crust first: they usually do so by tearing it off and dipping it in ketchup or some other description of condiment. It’s thought that crusties subscribe to the motto ‘the best things come to those who wait’, because they’re effectively saving the tasty bit of the pizza until last. We just think it’s a bit odd.

Top feeders
Top feeders tend to be children aged four to 11 who insist on scraping the topping (mainly pepperonis) off the crust and eating separately. However, some fail to grow out of this habit and continue to infuriate their dining companions by dissecting their pizza in a most unsightly manner.

Three ways to make an Italian pizza chef angry
1. Rave about American food (‘I just can’t get enough of burgers, hot dogs, and pizza!’ etc). Your life expectancy and/or time left in the restaurant will be reduced to a matter of minutes.

2. Ask for a pineapple on your pizza. Italians just don’t do fruit on pizza. Never. Ever.

3. Apply tomato ketchup. Ketchup was invented by British people to make their rubbish food taste marginally less rubbish. If an Italian chef sees you slather on the red stuff, he’s going to think you have the same regard for his food as you do British food. Not good.

So, are you guilty? I am! I am a FOLDER. Love eating my pizza that way. :) Hmmmm, this post just made me crave for pizza.

Itchy Feet

And the itchy feet is not mine! I just recalled how someone I know has itchy feet. Even with the itchiness, she would still wear rubber flip flops. The feet eczema she developed started from rashes after she had an allergic reaction to one of the flip flops she wore. It did not stop there. She would scratch the rashes so hard that they got sore.

I feel so bad for her because she has a very good complexion and a fair skin but if you look down to her feet - unsightly.

I told her many, many times to check with a skin doctor and to get eczema treatment for her feet. She would not listen. So, what started as an allergy has turned into a skin disorder because she did not do anything to alleviate the spread of bacteria.

Keeping Up With the Emails

I posted in my other blog about the amount of emails I have in my inbox recently. My email account reached to 2,000 plus unread emails! I don't know how that build up but over the course of one week, I religiously unsubscribed to most of the online publications I have joined in the past. A lot of them I have barely read and I wonder why I ever signed in the first place.

My inbox is now down to 419. It is still a high number to my standard. I used to keep my inbox to a max of 50. I may still have to discontinue other services' newsletters and catalog/brochures I get online in the future. Also, I have already filtered emails from family and friends and other stuff.

I am aiming to keep the number to a low 100 by end of the month. Let's see if I can reach that goal.

Health Nut - Boost Immunity this Cold Season

Winter is upon us and not long from now, we will be experiencing seasonal changes that will affect our immunity.

People here always get sick when the seasons change because the wind coming from another region brings dusts, pollens, migrating birds and their bacterias and what-have-yous. The sudden change in the temperature also exposes people to other natural elements like extra moisture and cold draft. The human body have to adapt to all these and re-adjust to be able to battle the coming of the colder months.

So, even before the cold weather bites, try to follow these simple tips to boost immune system:

1. Eat apples - why you might ask? Well, apples contain pectins which are good in boosting the levels of immune-supportive proteins.

2. Get inoculated - I cannot stress this enough. Be prepared and have yourself and family vaccinated for influenza and other boosters which can aid immunity.

3. Wear warm clothing if the weather is cold and keep the head warm by wearing cap if you have to do a jog at the park early morning or in the evening because of the cold draft.

4. Exercise - a quick strut can boost one's immune system and the sweat helps in releasing toxins out of the body.

5. Have a good night's sleep - getting at least 8 hours of sleep a day will help stave off the sniffles during the cold season. Why not enjoy your comforter and bed a little longer?

Quick Money

I don't grow money out of my limbs. That is what I always tell my family. However, ever since my dad passed away, my brother and I have been pulling our resources to send money back home. What I don't understand is, our family in the Philippines seem to not realize that we are also affected by the recession.

I have been telling them over and over again that my bank account is as flat as a paper. I wish I can do something to help everyone but I am also tight.

Our company does not offer payday advance so they will have to wait until my brother and I get our salaries by the end of this month.

Quick money these days are hard to find. Pre-recession, the banks here would run after us to offer personal loans and high credit limits cards. The table has turned and the banks are very strict now. Some banks don't even lend to "Filipinos." I will not go into details as to why but it is a fact.

I don't want to ask for another loan just to help every body out. If I do that, I will never, ever get out of the financial rut. I need to help myself and my family here too. I just wish my family back home will try to understand that.

Not Feeling Positive

I have been feeling a little blue for 2 weeks now. I cannot understand why. I think (and slightly feel) that I may be entering the "passage" or "menopausal" stage.

I have always been an "irregular" person. Sometimes I will not have period for 3 months in a row but I have ceased menstruating for some time now. I already saw a doctor and said I was still not into menopausal. However, 2 years ago, I started feeling hot flushes and would fan myself incessantly even if the aircon unit was in full blast and on the lowest temperature.

I cannot take any hormonal pills due to my hypertension so I have to really lose weight to see if my period will come back.

I am also emotional lately and very quick to get irate. I am normally a docile person but this is really different. I am always perky and see the "glass half full." Lately, that is not the case. I just feel gloomy and lacking enthusiasm in most of the things I do. The only thing that excite me at the moment is our family's vacation trip because I really need to change my scenery or I will go crazy.

Hmmmm, strange. I wonder if I will snap out of this. I hope it's just temporary. I don't like feeling bleak. I miss my upbeat personality but I can't force myself to be one at the moment. Bummer...

Can't Get Fat! Not Again!

It's probably that time of the month again. I feel so bloated. Nothing seems to fit me. I can run straight to the "plus sizes" boutique now because my trousers which were just hanging to my waist last week are so tight. I wonder why!

It must be the over-load of carbohydrates lately. I am not a rice eater, well at least, not everyday. However, the past few days, I have been eating a cup of rice for lunch. It is unusual for me to do that but my friend keeps bringing me nice "chicken biryani" for lunch and shares her large portion to me. Who can say no to grace?!?

I will be checking the Best over the counter diet pills available here in Dubai because I think I will need them. Exercise-wise, I am very on track but the eating of carbs is getting a bit out of hand. What can I do, I love biryani!!!

Tiring Day

Today is a tiring day for me. It's not like it is different from the other days at work but I just can't find enough energy to go through another minute. I am quite surprised how I managed to finish the 8.5 grueling hours in the office. Must be a miracle!!!

Why is Monday always manic? Why can't it be Manic Tuesday or Wednesday or even Thursday? Why on Monday?

Does anyone have an answer to that?

Herbal Appetite Suppressant Tea

My sister is encouraging me to try sipping herbal appetite suppressant teas to aid my weight loss. I tried drinking herbal teas before but somehow got acidic. I am not sure how that happen but maybe the caffeine from the tea made my stomach acidic. Maybe the brand I tried was strong for me.

Anyway, I am not against the idea of taking herbal appetite suppressants. As a matter of fact, I bought some tea bags from Thailand last July which I drink at least thrice a week. It is working well with my stomach. I do not feel acidic at all. I bought five boxes of that tea and I love the taste. It is not so bitter and actually taste a bit sweet.

My appetite is quite regulated right now. I just drink plenty of water, move a lot and eat portion-controlled meals so I do not gain more that I should.

Going To Korea!!!

I am so excited! This is our first time to visit Korea. We just got our visas and raring to go...but not just yet! My leave does not happen until the end of the month so I have few more days to bear and grin it in the office.

I have been researching about the country since 2008 when we initially planned to go there instead of Europe. However, the lure of Germany and Italy were overpowering the charming country of Korea. So we decided to wait for some time. Then recession came but thank goodness, we managed to visit the great USA even before the peak of recession took its bite.

We still have cancelled a lot of planned trips after that. We were supposed to visit the US again last January but called it off due to an unexpected circumstance surrounding my passport. So, for 2010, our annual family trip will be in the beautiful country of South Korea. This time there will be no shopping involved because our budget is very, very tight. It will be plain sightseeing and relaxation only. This trip, by the way, is an all-expense-paid trip of my hubby for us. He knows I am so stressed so he is treating me and our daughter there.

Korea, 우리가 간다!!! ( <---- Got that from the internet...hehehe). It says - Korea, here we come!

Burn the Fats Now

I strayed for a while with my diet regimen and exercise due to work load. It has been a whirlwind of stress and cumbersome load in the office that I find it hard to spare extra time to stick to my regular exercise routine. My eating habits was also affected by the temporary manic schedule I had. I am back on track now.

The need to keep moving is my constant goal every week. I started power-walking in the park every Friday morning since 2 weeks ago. I also do jumping jacks for at least 2 minutes every other day. A lot of my daily routine before has changed as well. I started using the stairs again. I asked my hubby to drop me off a block away from the office so I can walk. I use the rest room which is far from my room. I am back to eating salads and grilled stuff.

Although my weight loss went into a plateau last month, I am working hard to jump-start my metabolism before winter comes. Otherwise, it is going to be very difficult to sweat it out. I know there are other means to aid my weight loss like taking lipo 6 hers and other weight loss supplements and following low-sodium diets to keep the water retention at bay.

My goal is to lose more weight. I have lost 4 kilos so far and have not gained since then but, I have also not lost anything after that. So I am kind of in a balance right now. I need to tip the scale towards weight loss and I will do that to burn the fats. All I have to do is focus, commit my time and self to this healthy cause and surely, success will be sweet!

Chilean Miners Out

It is so nice to hear and read news of happy endings. I followed the events as it unfold on the Chilean miners - all 33 of them getting trapped in the mine.

I am so glad that the Chilean government did not lose hope and continued to pursue their plan to release the trapped miners at all cost. I salute their spirit and "faith" in believing that the rescue will be a success and it will happen.

You see, God's wonder really works in mysterious ways. Most of the miners continued to pray and so are the people outside for their safety and inevitable return to normal life.

I feel a warm feeling inside knowing that the indomitable spirit of men can really move mountains. Thank you God for saving all those 33 miners and for using other people to be your instrument.

Health Nut - Keep Moving

I am quite unfortunate when it comes to being active the whole day. My work is a desk-job kind of thing so I only get to enjoy walking or other strenuous activities when I have to go to other buildings in the compound. So, burning calories is quite difficult to achieve. However, studies show that even the slightest movement or activity can trigger calorie-burning action. For example, using the stairs instead of the lift, running or sprinting towards the restroom or walking to another room where your colleagues are instead of calling them. These are little things which can also add up on your weight loss goals.

Keep moving! If you cannot do an hour stretch of intensive exercise due to lack of time, try squeezing 10-20 minutes of running, brisk-walking, jogging, aerobics or any exercise routine that you do. Try to include 2-3 minutes of sprint as intervals and you'll be surprised to know that these little things will add up to something in the long run.

Abandoned Building Constructions

As we passed the Ajman emirate of UAE on our way home from Ras Al Khaimah; I cannot help but wonder on the abandoned clusters of steel buildings along the highway. I saw the billboard with the finished projected photo of the community being developed. Unfortunately, the recession must have caused the cessation of construction so some of the buildings were left half-way through the process.

It is very sad to see these abandoned development as they held promises prior to the onset of recession. Our friend even told me that someone she knows bought a property in the said halted development only to find out that the developer had gone bankrupt. All her lifetime savings went down the drain with no hopes of being recovered. Such a sad story for both the developer and investors.

Outing at Ras Al Khaimah

I have been in this country for the last 10 years. I have not visited all the emirates of U.A.E. yet. The farthest I have been to was Abu Dhabi but not on a leisure trip. I had to take a flight out of Abu Dhabi. The other emirates I have visited briefly are Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain. Then comes Ras Al Khaimah in the list of another emirates state I have visited. Although it was a brief  trip but we got to see the beach and the main town in  RAK.

I will post pictures as soon as I load them in the computer. RAK is small and quaint. It is like living in the province. Life is very simple and not fast-paced like Dubai and the slightly laid-back Abu Dhabi. I didn't see much of the town. There were few high-rise building but mostly villas and smaller buildings. I can't imagine living there. I just like the city-living.

What We Want Our Kids To Be

My brother and I had a casual talk while walking in the park this morning about our dreams for our children. We both evaluated our own kids' strengths and thought it would be good to give them a push to enhance their strengths.

My daughter is really good in computer. She loves nit-picking on programs and she often helps me out when I get stuck somewhere in the PC world. I offered some suggestions for her to consider after she completes her high school. Since she is very adept in the computer area and loves playing games, I nudge her to consider science jobs leaning to computer software development or computer programming.

I don't know what she decides to do after high school. One thing is certain, I hope she decides to pursue higher education afterwards.

A Father's Love

I only came across this video today while searching for inspirational stories to keep my spirits high. I cried watching the video and cried even more when I read the story behind Mr. Hoyt's love for his son, Rick.

I give credits to the one who uploaded this video and from YouTube. I also want to convey my sincere praise to Team Hoyt for the kind of inspiration they give to the world. God Bless.

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE Lyrics, Performed by Mercy Me

I can only imagine
What it will be like
When I walk
By your side

I can only imagine
What my eyes will see
When your face
Is before me
I can only imagine

[Chorus:]
Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine

I can only imagine
When that day comes
And I find myself
Standing in the Son

I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever
Forever worship You
I can only imagine

[Chorus]

I can only imagine [x2]

I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever, forever worship you

Fashionable Galoshes

I remember wearing rain boots when I was a kid. In my very young and innocent mind, I thought rain boots or galoshes are only for kids and the workers who clean up the clogs on the side streets. I was so wrong!

Now, galoshes are making a comeback in a more fashionable note. There are many colors and patterns of designs to choose from. It used to be just black or red when I was young. Now you can get fancy with plaid-printed galoshes or even floral.

Manufacturers of rain boots or galoshes does not make women's rain boots only. They make them for everyone. You can buy for kids, young adults and even the man of the house can enjoy manly galoshes.

What a Sport!

I read this in the main headline of Yahoo web page a while ago. I find it very amusing and worthy of sharing...I think!

Pres. Obama was giving a speech and while doing so, his US President decal fell off the podium. So he quickly checked and asked "Was it my...?" People were starting to snicker and a few laugh could be heard. Pres. Obama was so game to even laugh on the mishap and said "You all know who I am" and "Someone at the back is very nervous right now...Don't you think?"

He is such a sport. He knows how to have a good laugh. What a sport!

Stupidity at its Best!

I would understand if you want to keep your windows squeaky clean by polishing them at least twice a month. I would also understand if you are cleaning the windows of a one-storey or two-storey house. Professional cleaners use safety harness to clean high-rise buildings but this one guy is either a dare-devil or just plain stupid!

I got this forwarded mail from a friend. I do hope it is not "photoshop-ed" to look like he is actually cleaning his window from a high-rise residential building in Jumeirah, Dubai.

You be the judge. All I can say - this is what you call "stupidity at its best!"
----Quote----

When he spotted a mark on his apartment window, this chap just had to pop out to give the glass a quick wipe with a squeegee.
Nothing odd about that – except that he lives 400ft up on the 34th floor of a tower block in Jumeirah Beach,Dubai.
He stepped out on to the narrow ledge and, holding the frame, stretched across to wipe away the annoying smudge.
Hell for leather: A window cleaner takes his life into his own hands on the 34th floor of a Jumeirah Beach apartment block
Hell for leather: A window cleaner, circled, takes his life into his own hands on the 34th floor of a Jumeirah Beach apartment block

As he takes his life into his hands, at least he has the sense to hold on to the window frame, even if it is by his fingertips, as he goes about his task.
He was snapped making sure the windows were sparkling by a resident in a neighbouring apartment block.
A resident of a neighbouring block who took these pictures said: ‘The professional cleaners have safety harnesses and cradles and helmets. He had nothing.’

Stretching a point: The window cleaner uses a long-handled brush to reach the corners

Mentally Drained

Okay, the "informal meeting" with the big boss of the department I applied for turned out to be an "informal  'further' interview." I honestly feel so drained right now - mentally that is. I don't know but I suddenly got tired because I was asked the same questions that were asked during the 2nd stage of the application. Although this time, it was thorough. I was asked many things about the application of the system their department was using. I honestly told them that it has been 7 years since I last used the system.

I don't know how I feel now. My feeling is gravitating to being restless and slightly feeling being a "wild card"  because I am pitting against 3 other candidates who are currently using the department's system. 2 of them are from the same department, 1 from a different unit but is very familiar and have hands-on experience with the software the new department is using currently. As for me, well, I can always learn the new system as I have always done in the past. I am quick to learn and I hope they will take that into consideration.

So, the ball is rolling. Where it goes, I somehow know... Then again, I may be wrong...

Doggie Beds and Comfort

A dog's need has tremendously evolved as time passes. Their need for our share of comfort and security has become a major requirement when taking care of a dog. They are treated just as pets and not share the same living space as their human masters before. It was uncommon to see dog beds inside the bedrooms of pet owners. They are given a dog house outside, a sleeping mat and a dog dish. However, statistics have shown that a lot of household pets are now treated as part of the family. Pet owners are starting to take into consideration the safety, well-being and comfort of their four-legged mutt friends.

Dogs, like people, are now living longer than ever before. Their life span has improved and prolonged due to the advancement of pet health care and the many comforts pet owners can now provide. So, as the dog ages, pet owners need to make them as comfortable as possible and vital part of that responsibility is choosing the right bed for the dog.

When choosing a dog bed, a number of factors must be taken into consideration like dog size and build, breed, shape of the bed and the habits and mannerism of the canine pet is also noted. Most medium-sized to large-sized dogs can benefit from the comfortable large dog beds out in the market. Most of the large dog beds are hypo-allergenic and are anti-bacterial too. Pet owners' may be tempted to veer from the high-end dog beds because of the cost but extra caution must be observed when checking out inexpensive dog beds. These cheap dog beds from overseas are made using materials containing harmful chemicals. Those harmful chemicals are detrimental to a dog's health.

The most pet owners can do to their loyal friends is to give them the best comfort they deserve. Choose the best dog bed and give the canine friend a wonderful time.

In Search for a Good Insurance

I have already thought about purchasing a good insurance for myself and my family next year. I know I should have bought while I was younger and the premium would have been a lot less compared to now. I had other priorities then and I was young. I didn't realize that I would need the insurance as I got older to ensure our safety, health and financial standing in the future.

It is still never too late to have one. I will have to bear the consequence of paying a much higher premium now than before but the main objective is to get covered. I am looking around and doing my research to compare term life insurance quotes to get the best deal. I want to be sure that when I finally put my money to this insurance scheme, I will have a peace of mind.

Tummy Ache in the Morning

I was so uneasy at church today because my stomach was bad. I didn't feel it when my friend and I left to hear mass. However, my stomach was acting funny as soon as we got in the church. Oh my, I had to practice "mind over matter" while I was hearing mass. Tiny beads of sweat were coming from my forehead even if it was air-conditioned. My stomach was really in a weird state and of all places! The timing could have been any better!

Lesson to learn - DO NOT EAT VERY LATE AT NIGHT AND SLEEP RIGHT AWAY!!! That won't help in digestion.

Welcoming Autumn and the Onset of Winter

Well, it cannot be denied anymore. Fall has come! The weather is great. I woke up at 6:15 a.m. and the sun was up but not as bright as the summer sunrise. I quickly did the bath routine and ent to church with my good pal.

The air was crisp as it blew cool draft on my face. The sun was a little harsh around 8:00 a.m. after the mass. Good thing, I have checked some hydroxatone reviews previously so I applied moisturizer with hydroxatone and SPF to keep my skin nourished and not susceptible to the weather changes. The season change can do so much harm on one's skin so at least I am prepared on that. Clothing wise, I am eager to take out from the winter box all my warm clothing. I just love dressing up in layers.

I really love the onset of winter. The weather brings out the best of my skin tone and condition. Not only that, I love seeing autumn flowers in full bloom. Although the trees here do not change their color much as the trees in the Northern Hemisphere. I still love cool weather just the same.
